Clean TeQ Water is pleased to be published as the cover story of IChemE‘s “The Chemical Engineer” magazine. The article, titled “Nitrate: An Emerging Solution”, was written by our Senior Process Engineering Manager, Jonathan Wright, and peer reviewed by members of the process engineering and research teams.

The article outlines the growing issue of nitrate pollution in waterways, which can cause serious health effects in humans and severe environmental damage. The piece contains an introduction to our BIONEX™ technology, which uses a combination of our innovative continuous ion exchange and encapsulated bacteria technologies to remove nitrate to extremely low levels with less waste, smaller consumption of resources, and lower operating costs. BIONEX™ was the overall winner of IChemE’s 2021 Global Awards.
