Summary
Clean TeQ Water delivered a water treatment plant to remove hardness from bore water in Northern Queensland, Australia. CNQ designed, supplied, and installed a fixed bed ion exchange treatment plant, and a packaged gas chlorination system to remove hardness and reduce the salinity of an existing bore water supply. The ion exchange resin type chosen allows the hardness to be reduced without increasing the sodium concentration, producing a higher quality water with lower TDS. The plant reduces the scaling of pipes and improves the taste of the community’s potable water. The storage and distribution system of potable water for the township was also revamped as part of the project.
